6th Primary School of Alexandria
Our school is located in a town called Alexandria which is named after Alexander the Great. It's a school of 15 teachers and about 120 students. Although it's a greek school children's mother language is a Vlach idiom influenced by the Romania's language. They are concidered as a Roma population and their culture has some interesting elements to show. I am Joanna Zaiku and I welcome you to the "You"ropean project! I teach a class of 18 twelve years old students who are ready to learn their rights and promote mutual respect! Because first of all we have to learn to show respect to "YOU"!
Thank you for joining!
We present to you our school! (watch our video here)
Primary School of Kouloura
Our school is located in Kouloura, a small beautiful village , near the town of Veria and famous Vergina where in 1977 the Greek archaelogist Manolis Andronikos unearthed the burial site of Macedonian Kings, including the tomb of King Philippos II, father of Alexander The Great.
It`s a small, beautiful and fully equipped school of 18 teachers and almost 100 children of various nationalities as Greeks , Albanians and ` Roma ` ones.
I am Anastasia Palasidou ,an English teacher in the Day-long school and with my partner, Mrs Ioanna Zaikou as the founders of this program , we welcome you in ` YOU ` ropean project.

A nice way to begin with is to find out all those things that are of great value to us and it is important to preserve. We urge the students to say what is so important to them that they would like to celebrate it on a special date. In the aftermath we talk to the children about global and national organisms like UNESCO. In the end we explain that some days are defined as World Days or National Days and we begin to work on the calendar (watch the following video). Every month we can do a reference about what we should celebrate.

First of all we got acquainted with the name of the project. Then we talked about all those values that a man should have. This little conversation led to the logo sketching: An "empty" man in the beginning, "filled" with values in the end!
